Mike is one of the owners of Spectra Jet. As a Lieutenant Colonel in the Air Force he headed a Maintenance Squadron. His conversion to civilian aviation began in 1988 at Airframe and Powerplant school in Florida.
He began his civilian career as a Field Representative for Learjet on the Lear 35/36 airframe in Florida. He transferred to the Ohio area in 1994 and worked as a Senior Field Representative. In his spare time he is building a "Mong Sport" biplane (click here for picture), which he plans to race at the Reno Air Races.
Mike is a Commercial Pilot with Multi-Engine, Instrument, and CFI ratings. Mike's background includes a degree from Rutgers University, Learjet 35 Maintenance Familiarization at the factory in ICT, Garrett TFE 731 Line Maintenance, and numerous Air Force education courses and schools.
In October of 2000, Mike attended FlightSafety Maintenance School for the Learjet 60.
